Notice of Municipal Elections
NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
Eureka City will hold a general election on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, to allow qualified voters
of the community to elect a Mayor and (3) Three Council Members to serve on the Eureka
City Council all for a Four (4) Year Term each and (1) One Council Member to serve on the Eureka
City Council for a Two (2) Year Term.
Eureka City by ordinance, provides for a non-partisan election with a primary election
if needed on August 10, 2021. Interested persons wanting to declare their candidacy
and get their names on the ballot must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with
the Eureka City Recorder, during the open filing period of Tuesday, June 1, 2021
through Monday, June 7, 2021 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, 15 North Church Street, Eureka,
Per State Law, the 2021 Election will be Vote By Mail. Write-ins are not allowed for a primary
election, if one is required.
The qualifications for a candidate are: (1) Be a United States Citizen; (2) Be at least 18
years old; (3) Be a resident of Eureka City for 12 consecutive months immediately
preceding the date of election; (4) Be a registered voter of Eureka City.
