Notice of Municipal Elections



Eureka City will hold a general election on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at the Eureka City Offices, 15 North Church Street, Eureka, Utah, to allow qualified voters of the community to elect (2) Two Council Members to serve on the Eureka City Council for a Four (4) Year Term each and (2) Two Council Members to serve on the Eureka City Council for a Two (2) Year Term each.
Eureka City by ordinance, provides for a non-partisan election with a primary election if needed on August 13, 2019. Interested persons wanting to declare their candidacy and get their names on the ballot should file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Eureka City Recorder, located at 255 West Main Street, Eureka, Utah, during the open filing period of June 3, 2019 through June 7, 2019 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Write-ins are not allowed for a primary election, if required. The qualifications for a candidate are: (1) Be a United States Citizen; (2) Be a registered voter of Eureka City; (3) Be a resident of Eureka City for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of election.

The polls will be open on November 5th at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. A person may not vote at any election unless that person is registered to vote as required by Utah Election Laws and must provide the proper identification.
