Temporary Restrictions for Visitor Center at Little Sahara

3/19/2020

Bureau of Land Management - Utah/Little Sahara Recreation Area

Temporary Restrictions for In-Person Public Access to the Visitor Center at Little Sahara Recreation Area

Following guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and recommendations from state and local public health authorities, the BLM is temporarily restricting in-person public access to the Visitor Center at Little Sahara Recreation Area.
Continuing our service to the public while doing our part to address COVID-19 is very important. Please contact us at the phone number below:
Phone: 435-433-5960
While the health and safety of staff and visitors in these facilities is our number one priority, visitors may continue to enjoy BLM-managed public lands, including lands within Little Sahara.

We continue to remind our visitors to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidance to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including maintaining social distancing, covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and staying home if you feel sick. Visitors are encouraged to “pack it in and pack it out” as future trash pick-up and maintenance may be limited due to limited staff availability in some areas.

Status of Little Sahara:
Visitor Center is CLOSED
Recreation Area is OPEN
How to get a season pass:
  1. Season passes can be purchased at the BLM Fillmore Field Office at 95 East 500 North in Fillmore, Utah, and the West Desert District Office at 2370 S. Decker Lake Blvd in West Valley City, UT.
  2. Pay for a season pass at the fee booth upon entering Little Sahara. You will need to fill out the entirety of the form on the fee envelope and include your phone number (this is not requested on the form, but is needed). Pay for the season pass in the fee envelope and display the envelope stub in your windshield. This envelope stub is your temporary season pass, hold on to it. The BLM will mail the sticker season pass to you.
